
Are we preparing a dinner for friends and want to present our croutons or pickled eggs in a different way? Or do we want a last-minute decoration for the cake? We don’t have any decorations at home and we don’t want to overdo it. Something simple but also effective. Here is the Coral.
INGREDIENTS
8 g =half tbsp. flour 00 / plain /all purpose flour
50 ml =3.38 tablespoons seed oil
45 ml = 3 tbsp.water
For the color:
1 tsp.red natural dyes powder,in this case red
1 tbsp. water
PREPARATION
- Emulsify with an electric whisk, seed oil, water and flour , and to color, add natural dyes powder and, and extra tablespoon of water.
- Heat a non-stick pan, when it is hot, pour a little emulsion and cook until it stops “frying”.
- Beware of splashes: water and oil produce plenty of them!
- Gently lift the coral, with the help of a knife and place it on absorbent paper.
- Repeat the operation. With these doses, you get 6 corals of 20 cm=ca. 7 inch, or a dozen smaller ones
