Tramvia

The Florence Tramway Network opened the line linking the city centre with Florence Airport in February. We tell you sincerely that for many years Florentine people protested for all the work in town for the new City train lines called Tramvia, but when we landed in Florence at Peretola airport and could get to the centre in 20 minutes, we were more than happy.

T2 Peretola Aeroporto

Remember that the name of the Airport is Amerigo Vespucci, but many times people also talk of Peretola, which is the area where it is.

Outside/Inside

This service, called Tramvia T2, because the T1 covers another area of the town, is excellent: you can get on easily also with your luggage, and in 20 minutes you are at the train station in the centre of the town.

The cost is more than reasonable for Euros 1,50 with one piece of luggage.

More luggage you have to pay extra

T1 Tramvia

This is a map of the way it takes, maybe your hotel is before the train station, and you can even get off before.

We met families with strollers and prams.Frankly,it’s also organised for passengers with movement and visual difficulties.

In the tram carriage with the bicycle  symbol, you can also introduce and  fix a bicycle.

And don’t forget your dog(with muzzle and leash).

For the tickets, there are cash  and credit card machines

This is not  a paid publicity,  it is just information as we like this service.
