Recently for an online Cooking Class ,somebody asked for a rich but easy dessert in preparation for a marriage proposal. What’s better than a decadent Strawberry and chocolate cup with its  romantic, enveloping look? And in this cold Season for us, everybody needs something to spoil themselves.

Here is the easy but mouth waterig recipe and we are glad to say that it worked for the marriage proposal,too.

Serving 6/8 persons

500 ml = 2 ¼ cups Milk

150 g = 2/3 cup Sugar

150 g = 2/3 cup Grated dark chocolate

40 g =1/3 cup Corn starch

4 Yolks

250 ml =2 ¼ cups Fresh liquid cream

2 tbsp. Icing sugar

Or 250 ml =2 ¼ cups whipped cream

5 strawberries

Whisk or electrical beater

1. Put the egg yolks and sugar in a bowl and whisk them until the mixture is frothy and whitish.

2. Add the corn starch and make it uniform with the rest of the ingredients.

3. Add the milk at room temperature and mix gently.

4. Transfer the mixture to a saucepan over the heat and cook over very low heat for 10/15 minutes ,stirring constantly until the cream has thickened

5. Remove the cream from the heat and add the grated dark chocolate,stirring well with a spoon so that it melts with the heat of the cream

6. Leave the cream covered with cling film to cool

7. Whip the cream until stiff together with the icing sugar(if you are not using the whipped cream)

8. Wash, dry the strawberries, remove the stalk and cut them into small pieces.

9. Allow the chocolate cream to cool completely before composing the cups

10. Place a little chopped strawberries on the base of the glasses or bowls,chocolate cream ,whipped cream and decorate with strawberries.

 You can replace the corn starch with 00 flour./all purpose/plain flour

 You can also use milk or white chocolate but reduce the dose of sugar by 30 grams=1/4 cup

 You can also use vegetable cream and milk instead of cow cream and milk.
