Grease or cover with parchment paper a 24-26 cm diameter pan and bake 160 °C=320 °F for about 40 minutes.

(Here we have used a plum cake loaf tin just to serve it differently)

4. After the necessary time, take the red wine and chocolate cake out of the oven, transfer it to a wire rack, make many holes over the entire surface with a toothpick, also make a few cuts with a knife.

Pour over the cream that you have set aside, and the cream penetrates inside the cake through the holes and cuts.

. Let it rest for about 30-60 minutes before serving.

5.  The next day is even better.

Just a  few Tips:

-As the final taste is for dark chocolate lovers, to get a more delicate chocolate taste, you can avoid the dark chocolate pieces and use only the cocoa powder.

-Choosing the dark chocolate  to use,we always consider that because of the acidity a very dark chocolate matches well with a kind of sweet, sherry wine  but in this case with the red wine  our chocolate has to be a little more delicate.Red wine goes well with dark chocolate but not to exagerate the flavour ,it’s much better to use a  75% dark chocolate.

-If you just like the idea of wine and chocolate, you can  prepare the sauce  and use it on other cakes, such as Amor Polenta with Corn Flour, EVOO Cake, Fresh Milk Cake and the one you love so much.
