Cappuccino Day, the loved Italian hot drink is celebrated on November 8th
Cappuccino is one of the most desired moments by Italians, especially for breakfast.
In recent times, social media have insisted that in Italy it is forbidden to drink cappuccino after lunch. Thus there has been concern that drinking a cappuccino in the afternoon is considered something truly terrible. In reality the situation is different:
Drinking a cappuccino at the end of a typical Italian meal is excessive. While an espresso coffee helps digestion, a cappuccino, coffee with milk foam can be difficult for digestion and therefore is not considered a good idea.

But if you feel like it, drink it calmly in the afternoon and evening as Italians do in the morning ,as a comfort food.
Today we also celebrate also the skill of the baristas, the art of coffee preparation and the careful processing technique that leads to the perfect balance of milk and espresso.

Imagine the barista in front of you pouring the cold milk into the stainless steel jug (cold foams better), preparing the freshly ground coffee for the espresso and then gently pressing it into the filter holder.

The barista heats the cup and carefully cleans the wand, releasing the steam for a couple of seconds to eliminate any residual water.
He heats the milk and gets a soft foam.
Here it is ready, pour it, swirling the cup, over the espresso.

So happy cappuccino to everyone!
Allora buon cappuccino a tutti!
È sempre il giorno giusto per un cappuccino! 😉😄

Thank you for sharing, and debunking that myth around cappuccino! Now I know that’s not exactly a hard rule. I’m glad you explained why drinking cappuccino after meals isn’t exactly advisable — “straight from the horse’s mouth,” as the idiom says.
