
Many are familiar with the typical Italian attitude of being extremely attached to culinary tradition. Preparing recipes like grandma used to make them ,is always a moment of great pleasure, and that’s how a dish becomes comfort food.
On the other hand, different times, work schedules, and new habits must be taken into account.
How can we realize traditional dishes every day with a lifestyle different from that of our grandmothers?By creating dishes that taste just like the original recipes. It’s not always easy, but it’s possible.
The recipe we’re realizing today uses calamari, and we have to admit that you can also use frozen calamari, as it’s not always possible to get hold of delicious fresh calamari.
And time? How about coming home from work and preparing a tasty and healthy dish? This is where the air fryer oven comes in.
Try this simple yet tasty recipe .t’s not like our grandmother’s, but it reminds us of her.
Air fryer oven baked calamari
Serving 2
Ingredients
1 lemon
1 garlic clove
Some parsley/chive
1 tbsp EVOO
3 tbsp breadcrumbs (have a look at our post)
1 pinch Fine salt
300gr.=10.58 ounces clean calamari
Utensils
1 tbsp.
Lemon zester
Bowl
Air fryer oven

Grate the lemon zest directly into the pan. Stop zesting when you reach the white, bitter layer (pith) underneath the peel.
Mince the garlic.Chop the parsley .
Add the minced garlic clove into the pan.
Add the chopped parsley and breadcrumbs.
Add the calamari.
Season with oil and salt, and mix well by hand.
Place the calamari on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, drizzle with oil, and bake at 180°C /356° F for 15 minutes.
If using a conventional oven, bake at 190°C /374°F for 20-25 minutes.
