When someone asks us where to eat good fish in Tuscany we always suggest going to the Tuscan coast where the fish is fresh and there is a great tradition.

For the fans we recommend next weekend an important gastronomic feast in San Vincenzo (near Livorno), dedicated to the blue fish:

UN MARE DI GUSTO ( A sea of Taste): PALAMITA IN AZZURRO( BonitoFish) -25 and 26 May,2019

The Un Mare di Gusto , a traditional event dedicated to the Palamita( Bonito Fish) and the blue fish of the Etruscan coast, offers tastings and insights dedicated to the typical fish of the area.

The event, organized by the Municipality of San Vincenzo and under the artistic direction of Deborah Corsi – chef JRE of the restaurant La Perla del Mare – presents itself with many new features, starting from the theme of this edition: “Palamita in Azzurro”. Blue for the colors of the sky and the sea in this season, blue like the local fish that characterizes this time of the year. The town of San Vincenzo, the stalls of street food and the Pranzo del Marinaio(lunch of the sailor), will bring the notes of blue.

Saturday 25 dedicated to street food from 7.00 pm to 11.00 pm, in the Port of San Vincenzo.

In a unique setting, at sunset, the restaurants of San Vincenzo will offer their interpretations with tasting benches.

Sunday, May 26, “Sailor’s Lunch”; a “delicious” gastronomic experience on the Passeggiata del Marinaio( Sailor’s Walk), with four Chefs from the area.

The 4 Chefs are a symbol that links the Territory, which unites the four neighboring municipalities: San Vincenzo, Piombino, Suvereto and Cecina.

The restaurateurs of San Vincenzo, will create, a dish dedicated to the event, an interpretation of Un Mare di Gusto.
