What is more refreshing than a Lemon sorbet ?

This is one of the many recipes you can find for “Sorbetto al Limone”,and we’re glad to share with you this refreshing light taste.During Summer time it’s always available in our freezer.


5  lemons

200gr=1 cup sugar

400ml=1 1/2 cups+3 tbsp water

1 lemon zest

2 drops Vanilla extract

1 egg white (optional)

In a saucepan,combine grated lemon peel,water and sugar

Bring to the boil, then reduce the heat to a minimum and let it simmer for 5 minutes again

Let the pot cool in a larger pot filled with cold water .


Cut the lemons, squeeze out the juice 

Combine lemon flavoured syrup, lemon juice and vanilla extract

Beat the egg white.

Add beaten egg white when the syrup and lemon juice are cold

Pour it into the ice -cream maker for about 30 minutes, until it reaches the right consistency.

Serve it with a mint leaf.
