Pecorino Grigliato al Limone

The first time I was offered this simple dish with fresh pecorino(sheep cheese) and lemon, I was sincerely doubtful but when I saw the dish, smelled the perfume and tasted :what a surprise.

A recipe ready in 5 minutes is so absolutely a joy for the buds. The only problem is to have a fresh traditional Tuscan pecorino, not easily available away from production area as fresh pecorino does not last long and is not easy to be preserved.

This may be a good reason to taste it in Tuscany

Ingredients:

1 lemon

6 slices fresh Tuscan pecorino cheese

 2 tbps.E.V.O.O.

 1 chili pepper

 Salt and pepper

1 tsp. marjoran

Prepare a citronette by whisking the lemon juice, oil, salt, freshly ground black pepper and chilli pepper in a small cup

Grill the pecorino slices on a very hot non-stick pan for a few seconds on each side and place them on a dish.

Sprinkle with a little pepper, marjoram and serve accompanied by the citronette.
