Chianti is  the countryside  in Tuscany, between Florence and Siena  divided among the little towns of  Castellina, Gaiole , Radda and Greve : so much to do and see.Here’s my take on what’s not to be missed,in a list of the top 5 things to do in Chianti

  • Visit   6 Unesco sites  in a row

If you can imagine a circle  composed by  six  Unesco World Heritage Sites: Florence, Pienza, Pisa, san Gimignano ,Siena  and Val d’Orcia , Chianti is the center of it. From here in an hour drive  it’s possible to join these six incredibly beautiful places  and , not worth to say, being in such a position  you can imagine the value Chianti’s scenery  and history

    Realize a foodie dream

Zucchini flowers, artichokes ,tomatoes,vegetable soup or sausages and beans ,light even gluten free  , beautiful  pecorino( sheep cheese) ,great food options offered in this Tuscan area  in markets , eating out  or taking a cooking class.

people will answer you, they will try to talk to you as  here the pace is slower, not like in a frenetic town. Tourist are common here but not  so many and Italians are still how you expect them to be: smiling, chatting, sipping  a café .Here people have time for a talk and you can make new friends and practice your Italian.
