Papaya is not considered the most common Italian fruit and I know I have to get used to its taste, so I decided to try to make a gelato and I was very satisfied with it.
750 g= a medium papaya
50 gr = 1/4 cup of sugar
250 ml 0 1 cup whipping cream
1 tablespoon of icing sugar
Cut the papaya in two, remove the seeds with a spoon and extract the pulp with the help of a spoon or knife.
Squeeze the lemon
Blend the pulp with the sugar and lemon juice.
Add the icing sugar and cream.
Pour the mixture into the ice cream maker and operate it for approx. 20 minutes.
Put the ice cream in a container or in single bowls and put in the freezer.
The papaya gelato we’re serving today is next to a Amarena gelato ,a little bit of cinnamon on top and hazelnuts.Try, small variations and a great final taste !
