Why always serve panettone with sweet sauces?

In Italy during Christmas Holidays it’s really traditional to serve Panettone,:by itself, with fillings ,with sauces(see the recipe here) but  why serve it only as a dessert?

Get yourself a panettone without raisins or candied fruit, and prepare the gourmet Panettone in -Italy called Panettone gastronomico-.

Slice it and spread the sauces to taste on the different layers.

Many beautiful and tasty sandwiches will be realized. This time we used:

Cocktail Sauce

Dark Pink Sauce

Tuna Sauce (recipe here)

Yellow Sauce

Proceed with:

1Panettone or vol au vent

Dark Pink Sauce :4 tablespoons of robiola mixed with a teaspoon of beet root

Cocktail Sauce: 2 tablespoons mayonnaise mixed with 1 teaspoon tomato concentrate and a pinch of paprika or Worcestershire sauce, 1 teaspoon Tabasco, 1 teaspoon brandy and 1 tbs. chopped cooked prosciutto

Yellow Sauce: 5 tablespoons of soft Philadelphia cheese and a teaspoon of turmeric.

You can also use an avocado crushed and mixed with cheese.

You can avoid the cooked prosciutto.

Tuna Sauce (recipe here)

Spread all the sauces on the various levels, reshape the panettone, decorate to taste and serve.

We suggest cutting it so it will be easier to serve.

It’s possible to realise this also with a vegan panettone and sauces with vegan ingredients

Clearly the vegan panettone is different from a traditional artisan panettone but it is still a soft food only with different consistency, flavor and color. It allows you to make all the diners happy.
